We have the utmost respect for our dog- momma's and daddy's... so below, you can read about our retired dogs and where they are enjoying their pet life, after being apart of the breeding program!
Gabby is our foundation dog to our program. We purchased her in May of 2012, and she has been nothing but the perfect dog. Talk about best friend?! She is so smart, a fast learner and overall... the most intelligent dog I have ever been around. She was a great mother as well, raising a total of 5 litters and retiring in 2017!
Gabby is living her retired life in our home, the Jenkins.
She is definitely head honcho in this household and helps us teach the puppies we raise, manners.
Eva is the offspring of Gabby and Waldo. This was Gabbys first litter. Waldo is a stud we used from a breeder in Greensboro, NC.
Eva had her first litter in May 2016 and retired in 2019 after having 5 litters. We had planned to have Evas retirement in our home, with her Dog Mom... Gabby, but the perfect opportunity arrived for her. She went to live with some friends of ours that were previous puppy buyers from us, and always wanted a second one!! So, now she lives in Troy, NC with the Higgins family. We miss Eva tremendously but we are so grateful they have given her the best retired life!
Hazel is the offspring of Gabby and Frank. This was Gabbys second litter. Frank is a different stud we used from the same breeder in Greensboro, NC...
Hazel started out at 8 weeks old, joining the Switzer family, her 'Guardian Home'. Hazel lived a normal life outside of the breeding program until her 2nd heat, then was bred back to back for 3 litters, then retired. She produced some wonderful puppies as pet homes for us and now enjoying retired life with the same family.
Beulah is the offspring of Gabby and Winston. She was a puppy from Gabbys retirement litter! Winston was a stud we used from Medina, Ohio!
The story of Beulahs breeding history isn't as positive as the others. Beulah had her first litter- perfect! Her second litter, all pups were born 7 days early. Thankfully, she was a wonderful mother and had no objection to letting me assist with keeping them warm and extra care for premies. Her 3rd litter, were born/aborted 2 weeks early, and none were savable.
Thankfully, Beulah was spayed the day after the passings of her puppies and was able to be a healthy, retired momma!
Ariel is the offspring of Eva and Stephen. Stephen was the first stud that we purchased for our program from a breeder in Hartwell, Ga. Ariel was raised in our home and she is my daughters sidekick!
Ariel was retired in 2021 and lives in our home, the Jenkins.
Ariel is the 3rd generation, Gabbys granddaughter... and could not be any less than 'an apple doesnt fall far from the tree'.
Kyia is the offspring of Eva and Winston. Winston is the stud we used from Medina, Oh.. and Eva is the 1st pup we kept from our foundation girl, Gabby. This makes Kyia, 3rd generation!
Kyia left us at 8 weeks old to live with her guardian. She came back and forth and had her litters and retired in 2021. After she finished her last litter, still under her guardian homes ownership.. they returned her to us. We were so sad for Kyia, but low and behold, we had another guardian home with her half brother, Gus... that was looking to add another doodle to their mix!
At this time, Kyia is in her forever home, living the retired life in Florida!
Stephen was our first stud dog that we purchased to add to our program. He came from a breeder in Hartwell, Ga. He lived with us until he was 2 years old, then we placed him in a guardian home, the Nolands.
We bred him with our foundation girl, Gabby... her daughters Eva and Hazel, and shared his lines with a few close breeder friends of ours.
He was in our program and contracted for 5 Years... and was retired in March 2020.
He is living his retired life with his previous Guardian Home!
Scarlett is a female that we purchased from a breeder in Wisconsin, to breed with our stud dog Gus, that is related to our foundation females. She went to a guardian home, The Conners, when she was 8 weeks old..
Miss Scarlett was bred with 2 different males and totaling 5 litters. She was retired in 2021 and enjoying the retired life.
The Conner's also guardian home Eleanor, a current female... so we are lucky enough to still get the chance to groom and visit with Scarlett every couple months!
Zoe is the offspring of Eva and Winston. This is the same pairing as a previously retired female, Kyia.
She went to her guardian home at 8 weeks old and is living the life with the Dietrichs.
Zoe was contracted for 3 litters... so she fulfilled those and was retired in 2021.
Georgia is another female that we purchased from the same breeder in Wisconsin, where we got Scarlett from. We had thoughts of breeding her with Gus too, for the same reason of him being related to my other females, but we used Dean once, and Dave twice. This finalized her 3 litter- contract, and she was retired in 2021.
She has lived with her guardian home, the Scotts, since she was 8 weeks old.
Bella is a female we bought from a breeder in _____. we co-owned her with another breeder, Dogwood Doodlebugs in Candler, NC.
She went to her guardian home when she was 8 weeks old, the Keith's.
Bella had 2 litters with us, and signed over to Dogwood Doodlebugs to finish out in her program.
